The forum looks beautiful, and the rules you've set up are great. I think this will be an enjoyable experience for everyone. It's so cool how I wished for a new forum, and the next time I'm online, here it is! Nicely done.

You're welcome. When I saw you mention it and put a lot of thought into your post and other people also seemed to be interested, I knew that I could whip up something like this as I had a lot of fun doing it when online forums were relatively new. I kind of surprised myself with how well this came out though.

I agree. Nice job! I's pretty impressive when someone can create a solution to a problem, rather than just complaining about it.
I'm curious, what was the first online forum you created?

magicschoolbus.proboards.com/ Heh. I'm uhmmm... not very old. ^^; I'm sure there are alt.net usergroup bulletin board systems older than me. Most of my forum experience comes from administrating and moderating other people's boards that people actually used. :DDD

Topple, I had to google The Magic School Bus to find out wth it was! I'm not especially old, but I don't have any kids either. Sesame Street and Reading Rainbow were the thing when I was young.
I think the first online message boards I posted on were related to ebay selling and especially printing postage and shipping from home - it was a bit of a wild frontier to navigate since USPS retail counter clerks were either clueless or misinformed in the earlier days.

Sesame Street has been ongoing since 1969 and Reading Rainbow went from 1983 to 2006. That can allow multiple generations to grow up on it, which is pretty neat. There are a TON of remakes or spiritual sucessors to various things from my past coming out this year and the next couple. I might just create a thread in the off-topic board about it later. I love nostalgia! The early days of printing and shipping from home must have been quite a trip! I bet they tried to tell you to just bring it in. Haha.
