Its the season many people take vacations...are you going anywhere fun this summer? What is your favorite place to visit?
I have a small camping trip planned so far, but wouldn't mind taking a proper trip out of state...the problem is I have no idea where to go!
And vacations are fun to talk about :-)

My husband and I are taking a road trip down the Pacific coast, Seattle to San Diego. No set schedule or itinerary, just going to follow our whims day to day. We've wanted to do this for years, and we just bought a new Prius, so this is the perfect time. I'm pretty excited.

Oh man, that sounds like an idyllic vacation, gl! The weather in that area is not stiflingly hot as it is in the desert areas such as Indio and/or Palm Springs. The only note of caution would be the following: If you decide to get some sun and/or visit the beaches, be sure to SLATHER sunblock in prodigious amounts! When I vacationed in L.A. in 1980, I got the WORST sunburn of my life! I had fevers, chills, AGONIZING burns, and generally felt miserable! When I drove southward to Hemet, it was 113 degrees in the shade! But San Diego is a wonderful area; it's not too hot, and certainly not too cool. There's virtually no smog, and it's home to Sea World and the San Diego Zoo. I'm sure you'll have a great vacation. And.. I'm sure you'll be thinking of us at the REC every second... Not.

Trees provide psychological and social benefits to communities. They offer shade for outdoor activities, create a sense of place, and improve overall quality of life. Arborists contribute to the well-being of communities by maintaining healthy trees.
