Pretty quiet here recently guys. I'd hate to see Topple's hard work go to waste, so I'll try to get things started again with a few questions. First, I've been seeing the engineers (or whoever the guest tech people are) at ops a lot, does that mean the P-res update is coming soon?
Also, what's going on with the p-res seats on the floor? It hasn't been that long since p-res 3 was set up, now things are changing again.

Since p-res volume has dropped so much since Janaury, and a software update is coming, we are going back to having only 2 p-res systems. It was right before thanksgiving that p-res 3 was set up. Not speaking for any ET's, but I bet these constant changes drive them crazy. I think the software update is being tested on p-res 3. There are a couple cities left on that system, probably to test things out.

Thanks slcgl, I'm really glad you're still posting somewhere. The other forum has gone off the rails so much!

Thanks for the kind words lastrec. I check this forum every day, and I'm happy to answer any questions I can, or point people in the right direction if I don't know the answer.
This forum hasn't been very active lately, but it's only about work and free of drama. This makes me happy.

Any news on the p-res update?

The engineers installed the update on p-res 3, where they've left a few sites. I don't know all the technical details, but the update was a failure, and now it's back to square one. I hope they can get it to work before November, I really do *not* want another Christmas season like the last two.

That's disappointing. Christmas overtime was exactly why I was asking. I've got a lot of family things going on at the end of this year, and for the first time I won't be signing the ODL fourth quarter. I'd hate to be forced to stay anyway. Thanks for your fast response, it's much appreciated.

You're certainly welcome. I know a lot of non-ODL careers are fed up with the Chistmas overtime. I usually do sign up 4th quarter, but if the volume is the same as last year I'll be removing my name about 2 weeks before Christmas. The things management did to the ODL last December were just too much. I've never seen them mandatory a 7th day, nor schedule people who didn't volunteer for a holiday to work their non-scheds around the holiday. It's been too hard on the PSE's too. It would be nice for everyone to get the December volume under control.
